The leadership of Jubbaland State warmly welcomed a high-level judicial delegation led by the Chairperson of the Gedo Region Court of Appeal to Kismayo Airport. The delegation included the Chairperson of the Gedo Region First Instance Court, the Attorney General of Gedo Region, and other officials.
Speaking at the event, the Chairperson of the Jubbaland State Court of Appeal, Nur Salad Abdullahi, expressed delight at the delegation’s arrival in Kismayo, the interim capital of Jubbaland State and the administrative center of the Lower Juba region. He stated, “It is an honor for us to welcome you to Kismayo today, as you are part of the Jubbaland State administration, and your visit to this region is a privilege for us.”
Abdullahi extended a warm welcome to the entire delegation, including members of the judiciary training academy. He highlighted the purpose of their visit, which was to officially launch the judicial system in the Gedo region, a process that had been ongoing since September of the previous year at the directive of the Jubbaland State President.
The Chairperson expressed gratitude to the President for his efforts in ensuring the establishment of a well-structured judicial system in the Gedo region, with qualified personnel and resources. He also thanked the Judicial Service Commission of Jubbaland State for their role in facilitating the process.
In his remarks, the Chairperson of the Gedo Region Court of Appeal reciprocated the warm welcome and expressed appreciation for the hospitality extended to the delegation. He affirmed the delegation’s commitment to working closely with the Jubbaland State administration in carrying out their duties effectively.
The visit underscores the ongoing efforts to strengthen the rule of law and establish a robust judicial system in Jubbaland State, fostering cooperation and collaboration among various stakeholders.
