The judicial authorities of Jubbaland State extended a warm reception to a delegation led by the President of the Gedo Region Court of Appeal upon their arrival at Kismayo Airport. The delegation included the President of the Gedo Region Primary Court, the Attorney General of Gedo Region, and other officials.
Speaking at the event, the President of the Jubbaland State Court of Appeal, Nur Salad Abdullahi, expressed delight at the delegation’s arrival in Kismayo, the interim capital of Jubbaland State and the administrative center of Lower Jubba Region. He stated, “It is an honor for us to welcome you to Kismayo today, as you are part of the Jubbaland State administration, and we are pleased to have you visit this region.”
Abdullahi extended a warm welcome to the entire delegation, including the members of the judiciary and the support staff who accompanied them. He explained that the primary purpose of their visit was to complete the formation of the judiciary in the Gedo Region, a process initiated by the President of Jubbaland State in September of the previous year.
The President of the Gedo Region Court of Appeal, on behalf of the delegation, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and the efforts made by the Jubbaland State authorities. He highlighted the importance of cooperation and collaboration between the different entities, stating, “We are one, and we must work together to achieve our shared goals, God willing.”
The visit aims to finalize the establishment of the Gedo Region judiciary, ensuring the appointment of qualified personnel to various positions within the judicial system, thereby strengthening the rule of law and access to justice in the region.
