Italian Aid Agency Strengthens Ties with Darusalam District in Mogadishu

The Italian Aid Agency office in Mogadishu recently hosted Mohamed Abdirrahman, the Commissioner of Darusalam District in the Banadir region. The meeting aimed to explore avenues for enhancing community services for the residents of Darusalam District and how the Italian agency could contribute to development projects in the area.
Both parties discussed aid initiatives for the Somali people, with the Italian agency expressing its willingness to support the Darusalam District Administration. Francesco, the head of the Italian Aid Agency in Somalia, stated that they are delighted to meet with the District Commissioner as they plan to implement development projects in the district.
In his remarks, Mohamed Abdirrahman, the Darusalam District Commissioner, expressed his gratitude for the Italian agency’s presence in Somalia. He highlighted that the district would benefit from the opportunities created by the Italian presence within the country.
The Italian Aid Agency has previously supported the Somali people in Mogadishu through various services, including job creation, reconstruction of government facilities, and other essential services. This recent meeting further solidifies the agency’s commitment to assisting the local communities in Somalia’s capital.
