Inspiring Speech by Somali Military Chief at Grand Ceremony

At a grand ceremony organized by the Somali National Army, the newly appointed Military Chief delivered an inspiring speech, expressing his gratitude and outlining his vision for the future of Somalia’s armed forces.
The Chief began by thanking the organizers for the impressive event and acknowledging the contributions of all those involved. He extended his gratitude to the renowned Horseed Band, praising their ability to uplift and motivate the Somali people through their music and words.
Expressing his appreciation for the trust placed in him by the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, the Chief vowed to lead the Somali National Army and fulfill his responsibilities diligently. Despite the challenges, he affirmed his determination to make progress in the ongoing liberation efforts and defense operations.
Looking ahead, the Chief pledged to prioritize the welfare of every Somali soldier, ensuring they receive comprehensive support, including morale-boosting initiatives, provisions, leave, healthcare, education, and care. He emphasized his commitment to enhancing cooperation and fostering strong relationships with all military branches and the Ministry of Defense.
The Chief also stressed the importance of building a highly capable and well-equipped army with modern tools and a strong fighting spirit. He vowed to introduce necessary changes to the army’s operational methods, combat strategies, and organizational structures to achieve greater effectiveness.
Quoting a famous proverb, “Strength lies not in force but in skill,” the Chief promised to focus on developing the skills and capabilities of the Somali forces. He expressed his determination to intensify the fight against the enemy, should Allah permit, while remaining prepared and unwavering.
Concluding his speech, the Chief once again expressed his gratitude to all the esteemed guests who attended the prestigious ceremony, wishing them peace and blessings.
