Enhancing Community-Police Cooperation for Improved Security in Hodan District

In a proactive move to strengthen security and foster community-police cooperation, authorities in Hodan district organized a meeting to address residents’ concerns and solicit their input. The gathering, held at the Ahmed Gurey sub-district, brought together various stakeholders, including community members, sub-district heads, the district commissioner, and other officials.
The forum provided an opportunity for residents to voice their grievances and share their perspectives on issues related to cleanliness, road maintenance, and overall security in the area. Participants highlighted specific challenges, such as youth engaging in illegal activities near water drainage channels, and called for immediate action.
Addressing the attendees, Ahmed Gurey sub-district head Hassan Ciro and Hodan District Security and Political Affairs Commissioner Ahmed Saeed Omar acknowledged the administration’s efforts to improve security measures. They emphasized the importance of conducting regular visits to different neighborhoods, engaging with residents, and gathering firsthand information to address their concerns effectively.
Hodan District Commissioner Ali Ahmed Farah commended the community’s active participation and pledged that the administration would take concrete steps to address the issues raised during the meeting. He specifically mentioned plans to rehabilitate roads, manage water drainage systems, and involve residents in the decision-making process to ensure sustainable solutions.
The meeting underscored the district’s commitment to fostering a collaborative approach to security and development.
