Enhancing Somalia’s Justice Sector: A Week-Long Training Initiative

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mr. Faysal Aadan Hassan, inaugurated a week-long training program today. The program will focus on enhancing the knowledge and capabilities of Somalia’s justice sector.
Participants in this training include representatives from regional administrations across the country, specifically from their justice departments, as well as officials from the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia.
During the opening ceremony, Mr. Faysal Aadan Hassan stated that the ministry aims to strengthen the justice sector’s strategies. He emphasized that this training presents an opportunity for all those working in the justice field to enhance their skills and jointly develop a comprehensive strategy to improve the delivery of justice services to the Somali people.
“I am pleased to welcome you all to this important training organized by the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs,” he said. “This training is crucial for implementing and promoting justice services throughout the country.”
Mr. Faysal acknowledged the participants’ previous efforts over the past year or two in contributing to the advancement of the justice sector in Somalia. He highlighted that the delivery of justice services is a broad and multifaceted endeavor, encompassing various aspects such as conflict resolution, upholding the rule of law, and ensuring access to justice for all citizens.
The Federal Government of Somalia, in collaboration with regional administrations, is actively working to strengthen the country’s judicial institutions. The Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs is spearheading various initiatives to enhance the performance and capabilities of the judiciary and justice sector nationwide.
