A grand ceremonial event marked the collaboration between the Galmudug community and Capital Hospital, bringing essential healthcare services to the Guriceel district in the Galgaduud region. The event, titled “The Integration of the Galmudug Community and Capital Hospital,” was held in Guriceel and attended by the district administration, medical experts, traditional elders, and various community members.
Doctors and hospital management addressed the gathering, outlining the healthcare services that the hospital will provide to the Guriceel community. They highlighted unique offerings like the OPD night service, allowing patients to visit doctors after work hours, cosmetic skin surgery, and a well-managed facility with skilled staff available around the clock.
The hospital’s initial assessment revealed many cases requiring treatment, assessment, and potential surgery. The doctors expressed hope for improved services in the future, God willing.
Community representatives warmly welcomed the hospital’s presence in Guriceel, appreciating the opportunity to access quality healthcare within their district without traveling to Mogadishu. They expressed gratitude for the doctors’ expertise and the hospital’s commitment to serving the local population.
The district health officer, Dr. Ali Beko, emphasized the significant need for such healthcare services in the Galmudug region, particularly in Guriceel. He welcomed the hospital’s efforts and pledged the district’s support.
Bashir Mohamed Saasanka, the district secretary, thanked the doctors and hospital management for their commendable work in Guriceel, Galgaduud region.
Previously, residents of Guriceel, especially those with critical injuries or conditions, had to travel to Mogadishu for treatment, posing challenges and additional costs. The establishment of Capital Hospital’s branch in Guriceel aims to provide accessible and affordable healthcare services within the community.
Capital Hospital is one of the largest hospitals in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia. By extending its services to Guriceel and Dhuusamareeb, the hospital aims to address the healthcare needs of the Galmudug region and provide essential medical care closer to local communities.
