In a pivotal moment for Somalia’s media landscape, journalists from across the country convened in Mogadishu to elect the new leadership of the Somali Media Council. After a thorough voting process, Abdiraxman Mohamed Adan Koronto emerged victorious, securing the esteemed role of Chairperson with a resounding majority of 6 votes, while his opponent received 2 votes. The Vice-Chairperson position was clinched by Faadumo Yuusuf Siciid, who garnered 5 votes, edging out her competitor, Muna Omar Hassan, who received 3 votes.
