The District Commissioner of Barawe, along with his deputies and members of the regional administration, recently conducted an inspection of the ongoing development projects in the city. The team visited the construction site of the road connecting Ambareeso and Barawe, which commenced renovation last year.
They also inspected the progress of the Tuberculosis (TB) health center, where the construction work is in full swing. One of the engineers overseeing the projects provided detailed updates to the authorities on the current status and challenges.
The inspection team surveyed the road from Barawe to the airport, assessing various sections and observing the overall progress. They noted the challenges posed by the rainy season but expressed satisfaction with the quality of work being carried out.
The District Commissioner, Omar Abdullahi Mohamed, emphasized the administration’s commitment to completing these crucial projects. He acknowledged the importance of the road infrastructure for the city’s development and expressed appreciation for the efforts made to address drainage issues along the route.
Furthermore, the team visited the TB health center, which consists of two sections: an outpatient department and various specialized units. The Regional Deputy Planning Director commended the work done so far and thanked the engineers and contractors for their dedication to the project.
While challenges remain, the local authorities expressed confidence in the successful completion of these development initiatives, which aim to improve the living conditions and infrastructure in Barawe.
