Jubbaland’s elite Darawish Forces have dealt a significant blow to insurgents operating in the Caanole region of Lower Jubba, according to Colonel Abdikaafi Dayib, the commander of the Darawish Forces. In a recent telephone interview, Colonel Dayib confirmed that the well-planned operation inflicted heavy casualties on the militant group, with at least ten insurgents killed or injured.
The commander revealed that the targeted area was a known gathering point for the insurgents, where they were planning to launch attacks against local communities. Acting on intelligence, the Darawish Forces preemptively struck, thwarting the militants’ nefarious plans and protecting innocent civilians.
Colonel Dayib stated that the operation is part of an ongoing effort to neutralize the insurgent threat in the areas surrounding Caanole and Shirwa Omar in Lower Jubba. The Darawish Forces remain committed to maintaining security and stability in the region, ensuring the safety of local populations.
The successful operation highlights the professionalism and operational capabilities of the Jubbaland Darawish Forces in combating insurgency and safeguarding the interests of the Somali people. It serves as a strong deterrent against those seeking to disrupt peace and undermine the rule of law in the region.
