Innaa lillaah wa innaa ileyhi raajicuun. (Verily we belong to Allah, and truly to Him shall we return)
With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of our beloved sister, the late Faadumo Mohamed Hassan, affectionately known as Faadumo Duro. May Allah have mercy upon her soul and illuminate her final resting place. May He grant her the book of deeds from His right hand and admit her into the eternal gardens of Jannatul Firdaus (Paradise).
We extend our deepest condolences to all her relatives, family, friends, and the entire Somali nation – a nation she served with honor and distinction as a member of the Somali Police Force’s elite Haween (Women’s) Unit.
Faadumo’s untimely departure is a profound loss felt by all of us. Her unwavering dedication, courage, and selflessness in the line of duty have left an indelible mark on the Somali community and the nation’s security forces.
As we grieve this immense tragedy, we find solace in the teachings of our faith. The Holy Quran reminds us that “Every soul shall taste death, and you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection” (3:185). Faadumo’s ultimate sacrifice serves as a poignant reminder of the fleeting nature of this world and the eternal reward that awaits those who answer the call of duty.
Faadumo’s life was a shining example of resilience, bravery, and commitment to serving her nation. Her unwavering spirit and dedication to protecting the lives of her fellow citizens will forever be etched in our memories. She was a true hero, a role model for countless young Somali women aspiring to make a difference in their communities.
As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, we take comfort in the knowledge that her legacy will continue to inspire generations to come. Faadumo’s selfless service has paved the way for a more secure and prosperous Somalia, where the sacrifices of our brave men and women in uniform are never forgotten.
In this time of mourning, we stand united with Faadumo’s family, colleagues, and the entire Somali nation. May Allah grant her the highest ranks in Jannah (Paradise) and bestow patience and strength upon those she left behind.
Innaa lillaahi wa innaa ileyhi raajicuun.
