Somalia has been making remarkable strides in liberating areas from insurgent groups and restoring hope for the local populations. The Somali government and its military forces have been working tirelessly to free regions from the grip of extremists and provide basic services to the residents.
First and foremost, praise and gratitude must be extended to the Somali National Army for their unwavering dedication and sacrifices in liberating the country from the clutches of terror. Many brave soldiers have lost their lives or sustained injuries in the pursuit of peace, and their valor deserves the highest commendation.
Over the past two years, the Somali government has made significant efforts to liberate the country and rebuild the liberated areas. Approximately 100 villages and districts have been freed from the control of insurgents, areas that had been deprived of basic rights and services for nearly a decade or more.
Once an area is liberated, the government swiftly initiates a comprehensive rebuilding program. Initially, emergency food, water, and other essential supplies are provided to the local population. Subsequently, the focus shifts to establishing critical infrastructure such as schools, hospitals, roads, and water systems.
The Ministries of Interior, Security, and Justice collaborate to establish local administrations, ensuring the rule of law, security, and justice for the residents. Police stations and security outposts are set up to maintain order and protect the communities.
While the liberation and rebuilding efforts are ongoing, the government has made commitments to the people in the liberated areas. The Somali National Army continues to conduct operations to secure and expand the liberated zones, ensuring the safety of the population.
The government recognizes that the success of the rebuilding process relies heavily on the resilience and determination of the local communities. They are encouraged to take ownership of their future, participate in the reconstruction efforts, and support the security forces in maintaining peace.
The journey towards a stable and prosperous Somalia is not without challenges, but the progress made thus far is a testament to the unwavering spirit of the Somali people and their desire for a better future. With continued efforts and support, Somalia can emerge as a beacon of hope and resilience in the region.
