In the bustling city of Kampala, Uganda’s capital, the Somali student community at Kampala International University (KIU) recently gathered to celebrate a momentous occasion – the graduation of their peers. Organized by the Somali Students’ Union at KIU, the event was a vibrant fusion of congratulatory messages, recognition of academic achievements, and a showcase of Somali cultural heritage.
The ceremony commenced with a resounding chorus of congratulations and well-wishes from attendees, who expressed their pride and admiration for the graduating students. “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the graduates,” said one attendee. “You have achieved a goal that you have been striving towards for years, and it is truly commendable. Your dedication and perseverance have paid off.”
