Somerville University Celebrates Graduation of Hundreds of Students

Somerville University, a renowned institution in Somalia, recently celebrated a momentous occasion – the graduation of hundreds of students across various academic disciplines. The grand ceremony, held in Mogadishu, was attended by dignitaries, including members of parliament, education officials, parents, and esteemed guests.
The event commenced with an opening speech by the Vice-Chancellor of Somerville University, Abdisamad Sheikh Yusuf, who expressed his pride in the achievements of the graduating students. “Today, we celebrate the success of our students who have excelled in fields such as Petroleum Engineering, IT and Computer Science, and Humanities and Social Sciences,” he stated.
Yusuf highlighted the university’s commitment to providing quality education, noting that the previous year saw the graduation of 500 students, while this year’s ceremony honored an impressive 600 graduates. He congratulated the students on their remarkable accomplishments and encouraged them to continue their pursuit of knowledge, emphasizing that learning is a lifelong journey.
